Vets take a swing at cure for cancer
RICHMOND VETERANS CHARITY GOLF DAY
The fight to find a cure for prostate cancer was given a healthy boost of funds by the Vets at Richmond Golf Course.
The Richmond Veterans Charity Golf Day, held on November 2, in glorious conditions on the course, saw the Vets raise a total of $6500.
The money raised goes dircetly into supporting research into a cure for prostate cancer.
The group are extremely proud of their efforts given the event is in its first year. Because of its success, they're now looking to develop this as an annual event.
Proudly sponsored by the Bendigo Bank, Veteran events are held every Monday and visiting golfers are most welcome. Tee off times change with the seasons so phoning the Pro shop on 45782272 to book a game is recommended.
You may be lucky and also play your game on the first Monday of each month as this day also features a free sausage sizzle. The Veterans are proud supporters of all major Richmond Golf Club Charity days and co-host with the Richmond Lady Members in the Tee Off for Breast Cancer Day.
