Dear Members,
I sincerely hope that you and your loved ones are all keeping well and safe in these unprecedented times.
It gives me great joy to be speaking with you today especially since hearing yesterday’s announcement from NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklian, NSW’s Roadmap to Freedom.
What this roadmap means for us is, stay-at-home orders for adults who have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be lifted from the Monday after NSW passes the 70 per cent double vaccination target, which has been earmarked, Monday 18, October.
We want nothing more than to re-open our doors and welcome you back in on the 18th of October, we’ve been busily working during this closure, improving systems and process, putting exciting and phenomenal promotions together, implementing a NEW Café experience for you, to name a few.
I’m sure, you too are excited to be able to get out and about again, to be with family and friends, coming to the Club for a bite to eat, watching the sports action on the Big Screen, or having a chat to your favourite staff member, but for this to happen, if you haven’t already, I urge you, now, is the time to roll up your sleeves to get vaccinated.
The re-opening of all our favourite things is totally depended on us, its our responsibility as citizens to get COVID-19 vaccinated and create safe environments for each other to enjoy. The roadmap opens a sense of freedom, or life as we knew it before, but this will only happen if we reach the target of 70% DOUBLE COVID-19 vaccinated adults in our state, if we don’t, our date will be pushed back until we do.
We’re updating our Covid Safe plan to ensure that all are free from risk, this includes all employees, contractors, suppliers and you, our members and guests, everyone who wishes to enter the venue must be fully vaccinated to gain entry, the new passport wallet, your personal QR Code or both COVID-19 certificates will need to be presented, showing evidence that you are fully vaccinated prior to entry, this is not just Richmond Club, it’s all business’s that will be doing this. There are some people that may not be able to get the COVID-19 vaccination due to medical reasons, again the approved documentation must be presented prior to entry.
I hope that you support our plan so far, the Board of Directors and myself are obligated to ensure the wellbeing and safety of our employees, you, our members, and guests.
I will regularly provide you with updates as we near our re-opening. Please don’t forget to roll up your sleeves and get those jabs!
On behalf of the Board of Directors and Management team, we look forward to welcoming you back, hopefully on the 18th of October, until then, stay safe and well.
Yours sincerely,
Kimberley Talbot
